Why we do, what we do...
Years ago, I was attending a Christian apologetics camp when I noticed the girl beside me crying during a worship session. These weren't happy tears, she looked broken and hurt. I spoke with her for awhile, and did my best to cheer her up. We exchanged information, and later that night, I sent her a bible verse, reminding her to give her struggles to Jesus.

Then it hit me. She wasn't the only one who needed that verse. The world does. And GodTexts was born.
Grow in God's word...
I texted a few of my friends and asked them if they would be interested in receiving a bible verse via text. The response was overwhelming! After a couple weeks of daily bible verse texts, and a lot of prayer, GodTexts was established, and it exploded.

Soon, GodTexts outgrew a simple texts message sent from my personal phone. We changed to a SMS mass texting service in 2015, but have made sure to keep it free for all subscribers!

I can't begin to tell you the stories and response I've received from texters, telling me that God's word changed their attitude, or turned their day around. It's amazing what a little bit of scripture can do!
